A/PLG was created in 1980 to meet the needs of gay men and women of Asian and Pacific heritage and to provide a support system in their relations with their families and communities.

David Hong papers
The David Hong papers consist of material, 1984-2004, collected by Gay Asian Pacific Support Network (GAPSN) founding member David Hong. This collection consists mostly of materials from GAPSN, such as event flyers, correspondence, and meeting agendas, as well as papers from other gay Asian organizations and conferences, such as the International Friendship Weekend.
